World of Munchies Snack Box Delivery Review

World of Munchies Snack Box Delivery – Review & Giveaway

World of Munchies Serious Snacker BoxWhen I was just over 30 years old, I had the opportunity to travel overseas and go to Thailand. I was young, and it was my first time being an entire ocean away that was separating me and my loved ones. It just so happens that I went a mere 5 months after the tsunami hit, that was triggered by the Indian Ocean earthquake. While I never traveled to the tsunami zone, there were plenty of other beaches and coast line’s in Northern Thailand that could have fallen victim. I remember being thanked for traveling to Thailand many times over.

On my first night in Thailand after hotel check in, my travel mates and I decided to do two things: the first was watch the traffic on the busy Bangkok streets and the second was to visit the first convenience store we had any recognition of. Apparently traffic laws are much more lax in Bangkok and despite being on the sidewalk, we were almost hit numerous times. Also, as luck would have it, the corner we were on happened to have a convenience store with the green and red coloring we all knew so well.

I decided to take this chance and purchase some treats and I knew. I discovered many treats that trip that had I not tried them, I would have missed out. Since then, I am always on the lookout for new and interesting boxes and I think I have hit the nail on the head with my latest box find – World of Munchies. World of Munchies was started by the mind of an 11-year-old entrepreneur. I can say when you see the selection and diversity of the snacks included, they are not of an 11 year old palate.

I was sent the Serious Snacker box to sample and included the following snacks:

5 productFrom Left to Right I received the Kinder Bueno which was a chocolate covered wafer with a smooth with a milky hazelnut filling which was very tasty and Jason and I devoured it. A Candy Farm 3 color Coconut Neapolitan candy bar which was a chewy gummy texture and was a coconut with each flavor of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Mejii Choco Baby’s which were little pellet of solid chocolate, Kinder “Happy Hippo” Cocoa Cream Biscuit’s which had a nice crunch and tasted of cocoa and a chip that resembled a fried french fries with a garlic and ginger flavor.

Pulparindo and Red BirdWe also received a Pulparindo with Watermelon flavor which is Sandia con Watermelon which is a hot and salted tamarind pulp candy and we received a Umai stick that was a light wafer and from what I could figure from looking online was that it was meant to be a salami flavor.

Munchies compilation 2From left to right, we received a bag of Poo Thai Squid Chips from Thailand which really had a bland taste at first and then had a fishy after taste. The Mejjii – Hello Panda Milk Cream Biscuits which are milk and cream crunchy biscuits that are imprinted with the images on the box, KP Hula Hoop in BBQ Beef flavor which were rings flavored much like a beef bouillon cube and Stretch Island Original Fruit Leather in Abundant Apricot which is best described as a grown-up version of the fruit roll ups and were very tasty.

Kit Kat and OreoThe final thing that we sampled were the overseas versions of the treats we knew here in the United States. The Nabisco Oreo Chocobar Macadamia Mini Bar’s were a small crunchy chocolate and macadamia treat that was more chocolate and less the cream, but very good,  and the Kit-Kat which was covered with a vanilla covering which was crunchy and tasty.

Overall, I really enjoyed this box and am going to get this for a couple of my adventurous wanderlust loving friends. I encourage you to get one for yourself or a flavor adventurous friend.

I love these little candy-coated, brightly colored peanuts that come from Hungary. I always look forward to our relatives bringing some back when they visit!

There’s nothing like English-made Cadbury chocolate! The stuff made in North America doesn’t use real cocoa.

My first (only) visit to London, I found the “Andy Capp” line of packaged snacks; although a little small, some were very tasty; I’d try them again.
