ToGoSpa Society Monthly Subscription Box – Review & Giveaway
I have mentioned in the past that I grew up with a single father. While this had many advantages there was also disadvantages. I grew up thinking that I might be missing the “girly” gene. I seemed to not be interested in fashion – I was happy in my spandex pants and hyper-color shirts. I was not interested in make-up instead sticking to one type of liquid foundation and powder into my early 20’s. The other thing that was lacking in my life was “spa days”.
I always heard of my female counterparts spending all of their Saturdays at the spa. The before prom preparations always included the typical “spa-day” for my peers but not for me. I spent the day of prom and dances having breakfast with my father, the afternoon at a friends house and then when only 45 minutes remained until pick up time I would get ready.
I always have wanted to do a “spa-day”, yet the cost always seemed quite prohibitive and seemed a long day out, despite there being a world-class day spa practically in my back yard. I am happy to say that I may have finally been able to get the “spa” experience in the comfort of my home with ToGoSpa’s Society Monthly Subscription Box.
The ToGoSpa’s Society Monthly Subscription Box is a monthly box in which you get to choose how many eye treatments you receive and are able to add facial masks. Also included each month is a “benefit” which is an item ToGoSpa chooses and includes in the box. In the box I received for review included the following:
Refreshing – Ice Water Eyes: These are jelly under eyes pads and he easiest way I can describe these is that they are like ice cubes for the eyes. These are refreshing and soothe de-puff tired eyes. These include Vitamins C &E that help combat the free radical imbalance, sun damage and discoloration as well as helping dry skin and wrinkles under the eye.
Replenishing – Coconut Eyes: These are coconut jelly under eye pads that are used for Replenishing. These improve under eye circulation and stimulates production of new skin cells giving the youthful look. These relax and calms, and pumps up moisture and relieved redness and minimizes pores. These felt very relaxing on my eyes and I was looking forward to my next round.
Rejuvenating – Green Tea Eyes: This is normally used in the context of tea, and this is more of an energy drink for your eyes. This under eye pad contains a high-density collagen as well as enzymes, amino acids, natural marine minerals. These provide proteins and vitamins to your eyes and reduces the appearance of dark circles.
Additional “Benefit” $20.00 – $50.00 Value: This is from the June 2015 monthly subscription box. Included was Skinny & Co Coconut Oil and Peppermint Oil Pull Coconut Oil, the oil which is great for anything from cooking to adding to coffee and teas. There is Pull Oil that you can “pull” with it. I had never heard of “pulling” with coconut oil, and I learned that you can take a tablespoonful and then just swish it around your mouth for 5-20. Once the oil melts it is similar to water and when you are done you will have cleaner teeth. This “Oil Pulling” helps strengthen immune systems, naturally whitens teeth, rescues gum inflammation and lessens bad breath. Also included was Organic Love Lip Balm that is made of lavender, Peppermint and Spearmint. This made my lips soft and it smelled really good, best of all it moisturized my lips wonderfully.
I love that I can have a spa experience and not leave my house. Many nights my eyes suffer from tiredness – the downside of being a computer based girl. I love that I can just sit in the comfort of my own home and get a spa treatment. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an easy way to get the spa feeling without the spa prices.
Monthly Boxes range from $25.00 – $64.00 for Eyes, with a $25.00-$50.00 additional cost for the face masks and each box includes a free “benefit” that is between a $20.00-$50.00 value.
Shipping is free within the United States and $5.99 outside the United States.
