Innoo Tech: Stainless Steel Garlic Press Review and Giveaway

Innoo Garlic Press Box ContentsThere is a list in our house. This list consists of the items that we want to add to our ever-expanding arsenal of cooking supplies and tools. I have learned recently that I really love adding garlic to just about anything I make on the stove or oven. The problem I encounter the most with garlic is the peeling and then getting it sliced to the proper allotments for cooking that make Jason and I happy.

When I received an offer to review Innoo Tech’s Garlic and Ginger Press I literally said YES to my computer screen. I did not know really what to expect given this would be my first use of a press of any kind. When I received and un-packaged the press it was compactly packaged with a plastic covering, as well as an instruction booklet.

The first thing that I noticed was the feel of the Innoo Tech’s Garlic and Ginger Press in my hand, as it sat comfortably. I decided that since I had never really used a press before I would take an entire garlic clove and put this little wonder through its paces. I separated each bloom out of the garlic to make installation in the basket for pressing easier. As I loaded my first clove and began to press down I realized I was using my weaker hand (my left) and the Innoo Tech’s Garlic and Ginger Press was working with little to no effort. I opened the press to inspect the basket, and all that remained was a flattened shell where a garlic clove sat a moment before. I proceeded to press the remaining garlic, mostly to play but also to see what my net garlic would be after smashing an entire clove.

Innoo Garlic Press CollageWhat resulted was an adequate pile of garlic for the size of the clove. This minced garlic will last us for the foreseeable future and it smells so good. It was nice to have some minced garlic and not be stuck with garlic hands for the remaining portion of the evening. I do not feel as though any garlic was wasted and all that remained were the flattened shells.

The Innoo Tech’s Garlic and Ginger Press can not only mince garlic but also minces ginger. This is made from food grade 304 stainless steel which means that it will not rust and is really durable. I washed mine about 5 minutes after the garlic run I went on and it was easy to clean – everything just washed off with no problem. I hand dried the press, but that was mostly due to me wanting to see how well it cleans.

I would recommend this press to anyone looking for a new press that only takes one press to get through a clove. This would also be really good for children to use – it is that simple to press. I know that this will be in regular rotation in our house for years to come!

My favorite kitchen accessory is the ice cream scoop LOL!! I really need a grapefruit knife and think it would become my favorite item, and I’ve never had a garlic press, but it would come in really handy – I wouldn’t need to use the powdered garlic as much!
