BuddhiBox Monthly Subscription Review – August Box

BuddhiBox Monthly Subscription Review  – August 2015 Box

BuddhiBox August 2015

The sticker as you open each monthly BuddhiBox reads “Discovery. Union. Compassion.”. The reason I bring this up is that I think that with not only yoga but in life you need these 3 components. Discovery is important because you always want to be discovering your world as well as yourself. Union is needed to help unite us in a somewhat fractured world we are living in. Lines are blurred and what generations before us were taught does not necessarily apply to today’s world. Compassion is probably the single thing that can possibly unite us all, because with compassion we can discover.

Earlier in the year, I had the opportunity to review previous boxes (click here) and they are always enjoyable and grounded. The message is always one of compassion, and peacefulness and of course always yoga.

When the bright green tissue paper again greeted me I found myself eager again to tear paper and delve into this months box. This month came with 4 cardboard information cards, one acting as a manifest of the contents. The first card was the “Lotus Pose” that shows the pose in full color, as well as the benefits and possible cautions about the pose. There was a recipe for a “Iced Coconut Marley Coffee” that is made using 5 ingredients, including the enclosed coffee (coconut milk, coconut cream, vanilla extract and toasted coconut). Also, included was a card for 3 mediation downloads from the Chopra Center. The final information card included was a box content listing and the following quote:

Though her home is on the surface, She is still Universe.  – Jason Mraz

I have included individual reviews of the items in the box and the box as a entirety. Included in the box were the following items:

Necklace Buddhi Box August 2015Jesse & Co – Lotus Necklace –  $30.00: This pewter necklace was made in honor of the legend that as Buddha walked he left a trail of lotus flowers with every step in his wake. I love the small delicate nature of this necklace and would be cute with either a maxi dress or cute tank top combo. They have many choice’s on their website and I almost guarantee you will find one you like.

Marly Cofee Buddhi Box August 2015Marley Coffee – $10.00: This is a plentiful 8 oz package of ground coffee. Marley Coffee comes in many different varieties and the one we received was “One Love”. When I read the name my first thought was the Marley song of the same name.

Wellness Buddhi Box August 2015Wellsmith – Shea Butter Tin – $6.00: This USA made cruelty-free, vegan  scented Shea butter lotion comes in two scents: Almond and Blackberry/Sage. I took a pea sized clump, rolled it into a ball (mostly to let it soften with my body heat) and applied it. At first it felt a little oily but soon melted and absorbed quickly into my skin.

My Mat BUddhi Box August 2015My Mat My Mantra Magnet – $8.00: This magnet is about 5 inches in diameter and says “Get Your Buddhi on the Mat” and is a blue and white color. My Mat My Mantra not only makes stickers for yoga mats but also magnets, I love the inspiration on and off the mat.

Satwa Sandalwood Buddhi Box August 2015Chopra Center Incense – $10.00: I received the Sandalwood Incense in the box and they smelled so good even prior or burning. The incense burned for about 45 minutes from beginning to end and there are 10 sticks per package – averaging about $1.00/per incense. These made our whole house smell good, and would smell awesome whenever you need a little relaxation.

Chopra Center Downloads – $7.00: There were 3 meditation downloads included in this months box.

When I say this box never disappoints, I mean it and is a great for the investment you make. I recommend this box to any and all yoga and fans of meditation and zen.

The retail price on this box was around $58.00, so an overall awesome value.

Monthly subscriptions are $30.95/month, $28.95/month – 6 months membership, $27.95/month – 3 month membership and $25.95/month – 12 months membership. The also offer a monthly sample box that has 2-3 items for $11.95/month. They currently ship to United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Canada for an additional $3.99 per box.
