One of our favorite snacks in our house is meat and cheese. One of the reasons that this is one of our favorites is because it is easy and filling. When I had the opportunity to try Meat Crafters – Skinny Salami I was interested to give this artisanal salami a try.

I received an assortment of Skinny Salami’s from Meat Crafters including the following flavors –

  • Black Angus Beef
  • Pork Mini Salamis with Truffles
  • Street Cart Shawarma Lamb
  • Spicy Pork Chorizo
  • Casbah Pork
  • Lamb Merguez

Each of these are slow cured, antibiotic free and do not contain any added hormones. The salamis are high in protein, low in calories, are gluten-free, do not contain sugar and are carb free.

Since we are a snack house these are perfect snack size, and can be taken on the go. Of the 6 flavors, my favorite was the Black Angus Beef with my least being Lamb since I am not a huge lamb fan. The Pork with Truffles was a good pork salami and flavorful.

I did notice that these are full of moistness, which I would have liked to see a drier salami, these did seem a bit juicy with each bite.

    I eat a lot of popcorn and pretzels, but when I am trying to eat less carbs meat and cheese is my go to. These look like a great option for me!
