Dr. Jacobs Naturals: Unscented Castile Liquid Soap Ideas For Use + Giveaway
Castile Soap is one of the most versatile soap’s that have numerous uses in the home, personal use and for pet care. When I was recently sent a large bottle of Dr. Jacobs Naturals Unscented Castile Liquid Soap I decided to utilize it around my home.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Dr Jacobs Naturals.. This post may contain affiliate links, but this in no way influences the post and suggestions to follow.
I was sent a 32oz bottle of Dr. Jacobs Unscented Castile Liquid Soap by Dr. Jacobs Naturals to use for my home soap needs, here is how I used it –
- Pre-moistened Wipes: I started by getting a container, a couple old rags, water and the Dr. Jacobs Unscented Castile Liquid Soap. I decided on a 1:4 ratio of soap to water and poured over the rags. I let the absorption happen, and when done I had a easy pre-moistened rag that was safe for all household members.
- Body Wash: There is no denying that I LOVE body wash, and having the ability to make my own, makes my heart happy. There are two options with this one: the first being a pure soap on sponge or loofah, or you can dilute with a 2:1 mixture. I have both options available depending on my needs.
- Pet Use: Since we have two indoor cats, the need rarely arises that we need to wash them, but I have had to wash them a couple of times when they lose the war against the litter box. If your pet suffers from fleas, Dr Jacobs also has a Peppermint Soap in which the peppermint helps to repel the fleas.
- Home Cleaner: The soap can be used from everything from floor cleaner, dish soap, to laundry cleaner. The unscented works well when using this for laundry, and takes about 1/3 cup to do a load of laundry. If you want to use it as a floor cleaner, use a 1 Tablespoon to 1 Gallon of water, then proceed to spot clean or mop.
- Shampoo: Yes, you can use the SOAP as a shampoo. I tried this to see how it would affect my hair, and I found it was just as simple as any other shampoo. It washed out of my hair easily and while I still used conditioner, I loved having a simple base to clean my hair. I used about 2 quarter sizes of soap, but I also like to use more soap than I need.

The great thing about the Unscented soap is that it is versatile for whatever scent you want or do not want. If you want some scent such as lemon in your cleaning products, it is easy to add some lemon essential oil – the options are endless.
This all-purpose formula has a 2 x thicker viscosity and include Aloe Vera and Sea Salts as ingredients to give a natural soap that is made with Natural Oils.
One of my favorite things about Dr. Jacobs products is that all of Dr. Jacobs Soaps are Non-GMO, they contain no artificial dyes or coloring, and they contain no palm oil, sulfates or parabens. As an added bonus they are also gluten-free, cruelty free and made here in the USA, and do not contain any preservatives.
I really love that I have the Dr. Jacobs Unscented Castile Liquid Soap, and I can experiment with new uses for castile soap. Come and get yourself some and see how versatile this soap is!
