Country Archer: Jerky and Frontier Bar’s Review + Giveaway
It is no secret that we are a snack house, and even our animals have gotten a piece or two. Many times we cruise the isles of our local store and I am almost sight blind to all the products on the shelves. There are so many, and despite reviewing many, I still have many to go before i recognize them all.
Recently we were at our local store and I noticed a jerky brand that I had not previously seen. The company was Country Archer and the store had a couple different flavors available It is funny how something can be in clear sight, but we are blind to it – that is how it was with this jerky.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Country Archer. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
I received an assortment of Country Archer Jerky and Frontier Bars for sampling and review.
The first items I tried was the jerky assortment. I decided to give the beef varieties a try first. Country Archer currently has 6 varieties including: Original Beef Jerky which is a simple pure jerky that is not to dry or to moist – easy to chew, The Sriracha Beef Jerky was full of flavor and also includes Cayenne Pepper. This was a bit on the spicy side, but to is Sriarcha sauce. The Teriyaki Beef Jerky was my favorite, since I love teriyaki flavor. This was a wonderful flavor and I am planning on getting more. The Sweet Jalapeno Beef Jerky was a spicy jerky that also includes black pepper and Jalepeno Pepper. The Crushed Red Pepper Beef Jerky was a good jerky, a bit on the spicy side. The Mango Habanero Beef Jerky had a sweet flavor which was a bit on the spicy end.
There were two turkey varieties that included Hickory Smoke Turkey Jerky which was a very good and was a different texture then the beef, which was very flavorful. The second flavor was the Honey Dijon Turkey Jerky which was much sweeter then I imagined, and after the initial bit had a sweet and mustard after taste.
When I received the following Frontier Bar’s I was curious how they would be different then typical beef sticks. There are currently 3 flavors including Cayenne Beef made with Pork which was tasty and had a combination of Liquid Smoke, Coriander, Celery Seed and Fennel to name a few. The Sweet BBQ made with Pork was a sweet flavor that had many of the same spices as the beef and had the perfect sweet element. The Herb Citrus Turkey was actually the first item I tried, and while I did not taste a strong citrus flavor, it was there mildly due to the added lemon peel and lemon oil.
Country Archer also included a branded lunch box and water bottle with my package. Since we were looking for a new lunch box for my husband, this will be the perfect one with a couple separate compartments that will keep his snacks and utensils separate from the food. The water bottle also fits perfect in the bag, making this a very easy to use set.
If you are looking for a good jerky that also happens to be gluten-free and contain no nitrates or MSG, this is the jerky you have been looking for.
