Charlie’s Soap: Laundry & Surface Cleaner Review

Charlie’s Soap: Laundry & Surface Cleaner Review + Giveaway

There are many chores as adults that we have to do, whether we like it or not. The great thing is that everybody has their own chore they dislike. For me, laundry is that dreaded chore, and it is not a new dislike.

The biggest problem with household chores is the chemical element. Since we have two cats, we try to make every surface in our house safe for hands and paws. Due to this, I am always on the search for healthy alternatives. When I discovered Charlie’s Soap and read the previous reviews, I knew that I wanted to give this a try for my home!

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Charlie’s Soap. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

I received an assortment of Charlies Soap Products including Laundry Powder, Indoor/Outdoor Surface Cleaner, Laundry Packets, Kitchen & Bath Household and Laundry Liquid for review.

Since I had to do a couple of loads of laundry I decided to give the Laundry Powder, Laundry Packets, and Laundry Liquid a try with each of the three loads I had to do. The Laundry Packets come in packaging that disintegrates in water. which made for ease since I did not have to measure the needed amount. The next load got the Laundry Powder and to make measuring easy it came with a spoon to dispense the powder. The final load got the Laundry Liquid, which was a clear fluid free of dyes and was scentless. Since it was a liquid that was easy to measure and easy to dispense. In all of my loads, there were no clumps of powder in the washer and what remained was a pleasant smell. I dried my clothes as I typically do minus the fabric softener. The end result was clean clothes, that smelled good, and were soft – the ideal result.

While my laundry was washing I took the opportunity to clean my counters with the Kitchen & Bath Household Cleaner, which cleaned well and dried quickly. I also used the Indoor/Outdoor Surface Cleaner on my patio set, and it cleaned easily and thoroughly. This cleaner can be used on anything from your auto, your BBQ and over to the chairs and tables – it cleans almost everything outside.

Each of the products in the Charlie’s Soap catalog are biodegradable, and environmentally safe. They are also hypoallergenic making them effective and safe, yet still can be used on anything from diesel engines to false teeth!

I am really happy that I had the opportunity to give these a try since we try to use natural products around home, it is nice to now there is another wonderful alternative available for us to use.

I’d love to try this brand out. We only use natural products in our house but haven’t tried Charlie’s out yet!

I keep a stain stick in my bathroom to treat clothes immediately before tossing them in the laundry.

My favorite laundry tip is actually kinda gross but it works.
If you ever get blood on a piece of clothing you should spit on it immediately.
The enzymes in your saliva actually do something or other to the blood and the stain comes right off. (along with some cold water.)

Of course once you’ve gotten the stain out you should still wash the garment, because now you have spit on it. 😀

Hydrogen peroxide can get blood out of clothing if it is fresh blood. Do it right away before the blood dries and it should come out.

Get someone else to do it, ok just kidding, my tip is do it everyday and presoak when needed.

  6. Dewayne Bradshaw

We try to pretreat but we try to keep things done instead of letting them pile up and stains set in.

To avoid chemicals in dryer sheets, aluminum foil balls are an entirely chemical-free option. Just crumple and throw in the dryer.

For my towels to keep that yucky musty smell I use borax and vinegar in the wash

I didn’t know there was this product until your giveaway. Thanks for featuring it.

Not sure if I have laundry tips… oh… here’s one… don’t let your 10-year-old throw a sheet with water marbles on it into the washing machine… your clothes will come out dirtier than when you put them in! If you do happen to wash your clothes in a tub full of water marbles, have your 10 year old vaccuum out the water marbles before you do laundry again ;-).

My best laundry tip is to pretreat your stains before they have a chance to get set in.

  12. Jorge Alexander Granda

Always wash with hot water, it will clean your clothes better.

  13. Neha Kaul

Hot water will set some stains especially protein-based stains. Use cold or warm water on these before washing in hot water.

Sort your clothes! Drives me nuts when my grandchildren throw everything in together!

  15. Nancy

My best laundry tip is to treat stains as soon as possible for best results.

  16. Lorena Keech

I wish I had one. I am forever forgetting to pre treat my stains so pretty much all of my blouses and tees have either a coffee or tea stain.

  17. Kayte CookWatts

Use white vinegar on new towels the first time you wash to keep colors from fading.

  18. Dana MATTHEWS

My best laundry tip is to teach EACH person in the house how to treat stains so that they can be treated immediately AND before being put into the wash.

  19. Michele Cupp

I use Soft scrub on the rubber of my front loading washer to remove mold/mildew
