Savannah Bee: Honey Lavender Bar Soap Review

Savannah Bee: Honey Lavender Handmade Bar Soap Review and Giveaway

Savannah Bee SoapRegular readers will know that I love soap and I love honey. The uses for honey products are as vast as they are amazing. There is medicinal honey which helps wounds and various injuries and there is food grade honey that is used in many popular recipes. Honey can be used on sore throats, burns, and bacterial infections.

My personal favorite use of honey is in soap. Honey is naturally an anti-microbial and when added to soap this makes the soap also anti-microbial. The other natural benefit of honey is that it is a humectant which basically means it retains and attracts moisture in the hair and skin.

I had the chance last year to review a couple of items by Savannah Bee Company and loved them. I was curious to try some more of their products and they were generous to send us a couple of products to review.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Savannah Bee Company. This post may contain affiliate links, but this in no way influences the review to follow.

Savannah Bee Company sent me a bar of their Honey Bar Soap in Honey Lavender scent and a couple of samples of their Royal Jelly’s.

Savannah Bee Lavendar SoapThe soap is a rectangle bar of soap with the bee logo embossed on the front of this 7.5 oz soap. The box is super cute being a 3D bee that appears to almost have landed on the box. The soap is a Honey Lavender, utilizing the benefits of honey and lavender.

Back of Savannah BeeOn the back of the soap package there is information about the soap including an expiration date. I was wondering why soap had an expiration date since honey can last hundred of years. Most soaps last 3 years from the date of manufacture. The best way to tell when a bar of soap has begun to go south is an obvious dryness and cracking. If you want to store your soap, keep it in a cool dry place away from sunlight and air.

Royal Jelly Body Butter SamplesAlso included was a super cute muslin bag stamped with the Savannah Bee logo that included three samples of their Royal Jelly Body Butters in Original, Chamomile and Myrrh and Tupelo Honey. I have not tried all of these yet but they are to help replenish and nourish rough dry skin. I did try the Royal Jelly Body Butters in Original and it was not greasy and did not leave a greasy after-feel.

The Savannah Bee Company has been in the honey and beekeeping business for over 35 years, and opened their storefront and online store in 2002 selling products made from the honey they collect. With a recent store opening in Disney Springs in Florida, Savannah Bee Company is a small business that is taking over the honey and honey product market.

If you want genuine honey products, you can not go wrong with Savannah Bee Company

I absolutely live lavender and almond! My mama used to use lavender oil to help me sleep as a child and I’ve loved it ever since!
