Open Road Snacks: Sinfully Thin Popcorn Review and Giveaway

Often times I feel as though I am repeating myself and this is one of those cases – we are a snack house. As time passes, we find ourselves that the snacks we like tend to slant more on the healthier end of the spectrum.

One snack that seems to be not only re-occurant but healthy too is popcorn. Over the past couple months I have come to appreciate popcorn and the many variations that it comes in.

Sinfully Thin Popcorn is a product from Open Road Snacks with the belief that the company keeps a passionate commitment to small batch taste while keeping with a scale to go anywhere meaning that snacker’s do not have to choose convenience over quality.

I was generously sent a box full of Sinfully Thin Popcorn in the following flavors SuperPop, Blue Corn, Smoky Red, Jamaican Jerk, Sweet African Heat, Caramel & Sea Salt to sample.

The first flavors tried was the SuperPop Herb and Spice, which is a herb and spice popcorn with kale and pomegranate. This had so much flavor and was more on the savory side, which is a nice change from otherwise sweet flavors of popcorn.

The next popcorn was the Blue Corn Popcorn. I had not tried a blue corn popcorn, so I did not know what to expect. The blue corn has less starch so it is lower on the glycemic index, and is sweeter than yellow kernel corn.

The Smoky Red Popcorn was next up and while it was a little spicy it was very flavorful and uses red kernels! This was a flavorful and tasty flavor!

The jerkiest of the flavors was the Jamaican Jerk Popcorn, which the minute I opened the package a heat came out of the bag. This flavor had a punch and despite my sensitive tummy, I found myself loving this flavor.

The Sweet African Heat was and hot and while coconut is not my first choice in flavors, it was tolerable in this capacity. I could not eat a ton of this due my sensitive tummy, but the portion I did eat was very flavorful if not a little hot.

The final flavor that I sampled was the Caramel & Sea Salt and was my favorite of the flavors. The salt was balanced well against the sweet which made eating more of this than originally planned not a surprise.

Each flavor of Sinfully Thin Popcorn is gluten-free, all natural, nut free and Non-GMO, which makes for a healthy snack for the whole family.

My favorite snack when watching a movie is any combination of sweet and salty! It can be chips and chocolate or popcorn and goobers or salty-cheesy and sweet. These popcorn combos look very interesting.
