Enjoy Life Soft Baked & Crunchy Cookies Review and Giveaway
When ever I go to expo and food shows, one of the first things that I gravitate towards is the cookies.
As I have mentioned in the past I am a cookie monster and have met very few cookies that I do not like.
When I attended the Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo I had the opportunity to walk through Enjoy Life Land by Enjoy Life Foods. The best way to describe the experience was it was like walking the yellow brick road with each step reminding walkers of the allergens that are not present in their products.
Since I spend hours at my computer it is important to have easy and healthy snacks.
One of my favorites is crackers and as regular readers will know I am a fan of Milton’s Craft Bakers, and so when I had the chance to review the Milton’s Gluten Free Baked Crackers, I was excited to compare them to the other varieties available. .
One of my favorite local deli’s is Miltons in Del Mar – the soup, the sandwiches, the deserts and every piece in between is tasty and delicious.
When I originally heard that they also have a craft baking division I was excited to bring home that Milton’s goodness. Milton’s has continued the tasty tradition with the Milton’s Gluten Free Baked Chipsthat are crispy as well as tasty!
Fill Your Basket with SunButter Sunflower’s – Spring 2017 Giveaway
It never ceases to amaze me how amazing the world is, and how flowers can not only provide beauty to the environment but also nourish us. One of my favorite flowers are Sunflowers – not only are they beautiful and bright but they also provide a alternative to traditional peanut butters.
Last year I tried and reviewedSunButter Sunflower Spreads after I meet them at both the local Gluten-Free show and the Natural Products Expo I attended. This alternative to traditional peanut butter is such a delicious alternative for your Spring baking. For that reason I am so excited to have the opportunity to give some away for one reader to try!
Milton’s Craft Bakers: Gourmet and Snack Cracker Review & Giveaway
As I have mentioned in the past, I get to sample, try and attend many things as a blogger. A couple of weeks back I went to the Gluten-Free Allergen Friendly Expo here in San Diego and I had the opportunity to see one of my favorite local brands – Milton’s Craft Bakers.
The Milton’s Craft Baker crew is about 10 minutes from my house and since I am such a fan of support of local companies, I was happy to see them. Our path’s crossed again at the Natural Product Expo, and I felt it was the “blogiverse” telling me that I had to review their gourmet and snack crackers.
When I recently attended the Gluten Free + Allergen Friendly Expo I was on a search. I was looking for alternatives to my beloved peanut butter. Despite loving peanut butter & Jelly sandwiches, I have found that I end up with severe re-flux a couple of hours after eating.
In the past I have tried different nut butters, and have found a couple I really like. Since I am a fan of different types of foods and tend to go a phase eating only one particular type, it is always better to have more options available to me.
As I mentioned, when I went to the expo, I as on a search for peanut butter alternatives. As luck would have it, I had a sample in my bag from a company called WOWBUTTER. As I tried this sample I was amazed how much it tasted like a high quality peanut butter.
Miss Jones Baking Co – Brownie Mix and Salted Caramel Buttercream Frosting Review + Giveaway
One thing that I enjoy about reviewing items is to look at the packaging and using that to decipher what they are trying to convey to me and if I can guess the overall message.
I am not the only person who does this and, in fact, has been an aspect of advertising since the beginning of advertising. As time marches on and people are much more skeptical of a brands message and intentions, the art of packaging will be more important.
The simplicity of packaging can be simple colors and images, to convey the message needed. Recently I had the opportunity to review an organic mix and frosting combination from Miss Jones Baking Co. What immediately got my attention was the simplicity and color of the packaging, while remaining a standout among other baking products.
I love Sunflowers and they are my favorite flower. Since I am known and notorious flower killer I have begun to invest in silk sunflowers and fill my home with sunflower art. I began to research and learn about my favorite flower and have learned that the seeds make for good eats.
Earlier this year I reviewedSunButter Sunflower Spreads after meeting them at both my local Gluten-Free show and the Natural Products Expo. I love this alternative to traditional peanut butter I am so excited to have the opportunity to give some away for one reader to try!
SunButter: Smooth and Chunky Sunflower Butter Review and Giveaway
Sunflowers are my favorite flower. I have been a fan of sunflowers since my mid 20’s. The problem is that I have a hard time purchasing these flowers because as beautiful as they are they do die, and once that process starts they lose what makes them unique. To solve this problem I have invested in silk sunflowers and filled my home with sunflower art.
Recently I was researching and learning about my favorite flower, and learned that the seeds can be used – which, since I am a fan of reducing, reusing and recycling, made me happy. I was lucky to be able to recently attend the Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo in San Diego as well as The Natural Products Expo in Anaheim. At each of these shows I was lucky to be able, to not only speak with company representatives, but also sample SunButter Sunflower Spreads. After I sampled this alternative to traditional peanut butter I knew I wanted to write about them and share with all of you.
When i was growing up my father loved a good Jewish deli, which were in short supply here in San Diego. The closest deli was no less than 40 minutes from our home, and honestly out of the question most days despite his cravings. Some time in my teens a new restaurant popped up that was only about 20 minutes from out house, and we began patronizing this deli.
Flash forward 20 plus years later and what started out as selling bread out of the store front’s become a household name -Milton’s/Milton’s Craft Bakers. Going into this restaurant is a treat, and as soon as you step down the stairs and enter the front area you are met with pastries and bread. The sandwiches are just as good as a Jewish deli should be, and there are pickles on the table.
When I started this blog I never imagined that I would be come familiar with gluten-free brands, and that I would be watching if companies ventured down the gluten-free path. Yesterday I was in the store doing our weekly shipping and i noticed that many companies are starting to offer gluten-free alternatives to their gluten filled counterparts. Milton’s has continues the gluten-free wave with the arrival of Milton’s Gluten Free Baked Chipsthat come in 6 varieties and are crispy as well as tasty!
