Peaches & Petals Subscription Box: May 2017 Review
Summer means so many things, but it is usually synonymous with travel. The mere thought of summer travel can be overwhelming and uncomfortable to many people.
When I received this months box, I was thrilled to see a couple of items that will enhance our summer vacation. The theme for the May Peaches and Petals box theme was “Vacation, All I Ever Wanted” and I was happy to see each item fit within that theme.
Summer is upon us and with that comes trips away from home. When we are kids, we want to bring every toothbrush, every toy and every piece of clothes that we can. When we are adults, we learn that less is more and simplicity can be streamlined.
With the summer travel season upon us, it is the perfect time to get those travel bags ready. When I saw the Jack n’ Jill Dino Gift Kit, I was excited because this is the simplest and easiest way to pack oral items for the little ones.
Being raised by a single father gave me an increased appreciation for Dad’s and Father’s Day! Each year I would agonize over the perfect gift, when really all my father wanted was a day of peace and ease.
As we have aged, I realized that I can give him the peace he so desires and still get him a nice token of my appreciation. A couple of months ago I was introduced to a company called Cremo Company and their men’s personal care items.
In honor of Father’s Day, Cremo Company has generously offered to give one lucky winner a Facial Care Trio.
One of the most difficult things I had to decide each year was what to purchase my dad for Father’s Day. My father is the type of father that has everything he needs, and there are few things that can be bought for him. Through the years I would make him items such as pencil holders and various art pieces. One of his favorite gifts was an album I made that was dedicated to our family dog, and this album is still a favorite.
There is no doubt though as he has aged, it is harder to think of things for him. As I got older there was always one “go-to” that included meat and nut items. I learned that if all else failed i could get him meat sticks and pistachios.
Since this has been a life long challenge for me I thought it would be nice to help you with your Father’s Day gifting with a Nick’s Sticks Meat Stick Assortment for the man in your life!
Smith & Vandiver: Spa..ah Foot Care Collection Review + Giveaway
Summer is approaching, and if the increase in traffic near my coastal home is any indication, it will be a busy summer this year. Each year I use the surrounding area traffic to find out how busy the beach season will be.
As some readers know, I live only about 1/4 mile from the beach, and I see people walking the streets in flip-flops and bare feet daily. The thing that always makes me think is the toll that their feet must suffer from. Then when you add in the beach sand, the water and the walk back, the feet get the abuse.
When you add in the additional wear and tear of the daily use of the feet, there is no doubt that some pampering is not only necessary but essential. When I saw that Smith & Vandiver had an entire foot care line from scrub, fizzies, lotion and heel repair I thought maybe I can repair my often abused feet.
When I was young, one of my favorite things to do was go to my best friends house and watch him and his friends play Dungeon and Dragons. I was lucky that since my best male friend ran the game, he allowed my female best friend and I color while they played.
The games involved orcs, wizards, dwarfs and other classes of characters that my young mind could not imagine. The terms were foreign, and the stories made up, but they were like stories that were unfolding in front of me.
Years later I look back on those days of friendship and stories, fondly. When I had the opportunity to review Late for the Sky’s Fantasy-Opoly my initial hope is that it would take me back to those many years before, and those wonderful stories.
Peaches & Petals Subscription Box: April 2017 Review
When Spring arrives in California, so does beach and picnic weather. I live only about 1/4 mile from the beach, and have many local and beautiful parks near me. When the sun is shining there is nothing better than packing a lunch (carne asada burritos are popular in my home) and going to have a picnic.
When I received this months box, I was thrilled to see a couple of items that will enhance our future picnics. The theme for the April Peaches and Petals box theme was “Fun in the Sun” and I was happy to see each item fit within that theme.
Peaches & Petals Subscription Box: March 2017 Review
Each month when I get my Peaches and Petals box I wonder what the month will have in store. If I am lucky, there will be am item that will remind me of a time long passed.
When I received this months box, that is exactly what happened. Since the theme for the March Peaches and Petals box theme was “Hello Spring” it seemed to introduce me to a time I had forgotten. Each item in the box was theme appropriate, and useful.
Nellie’s All Natural: Dryer Balls, Wash Soda and Melon Soap Review + Giveaway
When I shop for products one of the first things that I look for is packaging. This past year my father went to the fair and picked up the cutest tin’s that were filled with laundry supplies.
The packaging was lighter colors, and the one I saw was shaped like a washing machine. The tin had a slit at the top, which makes the item the perfect piggy bank once the product inside is used.
I was interested in what the company was, and how in this disposable world, they decided to use tin packaging. The company was Nellie’s All-Natural and they were generous to send us a couple items for review.
When I had the opportunity to try Cremo Company and their men’s and women’s shaving creams, I instantly liked them. Each of these products are great, and live by the message on the bottle with a little goes a long way.
When I saw that Cremo had released a new scent of shaving cream I knew I had to give it a try. The thing that makes these shaving creams different are that they are concentrated shaving creams, which means less of the product is needed to give a good result.
