175 Best Superfood Blender Recipes Using Your Nutribullet Review + Giveaway
As a blogger I spend many hours in front of my computer, and as such meals and snacks are easier when they are easy.
One of my favorite things is smoothies, from banana to chocolate, they are all tasty and good.
The downside is that my creativity is a little on the low side when it comes to my blending abilities. Since there a many combinations, a little help is always welcomed. When I received and looked through the book 175 Superfood Blender Recipes: Using your Nurtribullet I was excited by the prospect of new ingredients in my already tasty smoothies.
Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome – October 2016 Review
There is no denying it – the holidays are upon us and with that comes family get togethers, meals shared, photos taken and gifts given.
If you are anything like me, I tend to like 2 types of gifts. The first being the useful ones that I have been wanting. The second is “white elephant” gifts. I have discovered that while it is great to get a heart-felt gift, there is something mysterious and random about getting a gift that may or may not have any use in your life.
The downside to this gift giving is that while the “white elephant” gifts are sometimes the best part of the holiday, the fact is it is only really once a year. At least that is what I believed until I started receiving the Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome by That Daily Deal.com. Each month no theme is chosen, but rather a selection of random gender neutral items that will undoubtedly meet a need of yours or a lucky recipient.
Mini Monthly Box of Awesome – September 2016 Review + Giveaway
I have mentioned in the past that I love random mail – the problem with mail these days is that there is not a lot of random involved.
The mail used to contain marriage announcements that are now made on social media, baby announcements that are made via group texting and job and life announcements made via email.
When you sign up for a Mini Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome by That Daily Deal.com you replace the junk mail with a monthly surprise. Each month, similar to the regular box that is offered, there is no theme is chosen. Instead of theme a random selection of 2 – 3 gender neutral items are included in this white package.
Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome – August 2016 Review
I am a collector of many items, from paper to gadgets. I think that this collecting nature started when I was a child. I had board games that were my mothers, and patches from my father’s high school days.
Now that I have a house, I realize that space is a commodity and am always looking for ways to make the space stretch further than it looks on the surface. The problem with being a collector is that I have a collection of the most random items from hammocks to cat toys. I am a believer that each item I may not want would make a great holiday gift, so I save and collect.
I also love adding to this collection each month and the Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome by That Daily Deal.com helps me collect items that I did not know I wanted! Each month no theme is chosen, but rather a selection of random gender neutral items that will undoubtedly meet a need in your life that you never knew was missing.
Mini Monthly Box of Awesome – July 2016 Review
I am a fan of random – I like the unpredictability and the surprise that comes with it.
I think that in life, there should be an equal balance of random and planned with the number skewing for each person. I think that random can be a positive good thing and I think that is what keeps like the most interesting and unpredictable.
Normally you can control the random in your life, except when you sign up for a Mini Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome by That Daily Deal.com. Each month, similar to the regular box that is offered, no theme is chosen. Instead of theme a random selection of gender neutral items are included.
The Great Plate Summer 2016 Giveaway!!!
With the arrival of summer comes the concurrent arrival of friends, family and gatherings.

I am thrilled that you again have an opportunity to win your choice of either The Great Plate or The Great Coaster.
Culinary Corner: Spatula, Silicone Mat and Ice Ball Review and Giveaway
I readily admit that I am not much of a meal chef, but I am a baker. When I was a teenager my best friends and I would always make cookies late at night. I am not sure where or when this tradition started, but it stayed throughout our high school career.
Sadly those days are about 25 years behind me, but what is not behind me is my love of baking. I love baking so much that each year during the holidays I volunteer to make the bread that will be broken at our table. I know that sounds a little over dramatic for bread, but it is important to put love and care into the foods that we share.
An important element in cooking is the utensils that are used and the care taken combining and cooking the ingredients. I love to try new products and since I am still beginning to build my collection I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to review a couple of Culinary Corner’s products.
Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – January 2016 Review and Giveaway
There are things that I want to purchase but for whatever reason I put the purchase off – this is not intentional, but the way life works out at times. I love to get mail, it is one of the reasons I became a review blogger, the more mail the better. One of my favorite pieces of mail to get is monthly subscription boxes. I love the element of surprise and getting a peek into the creativity of others. I love to see what is included and love to wonder what makes an item worthy of inclusion.
Peaches and Petals is taking this concept of a wonder and surprise and bringing it to each monthly box. This is a subscription box that caters to ‘fun. flirty, fashionable vintage and modern lifestyles’. What this means to you as the subscriber? Each month you will receive 3-5 items hand selected by the Peaches and Petals team and that can range from books, household items, nail polish, makeup, scarves or/and a vintage piece of jewelry. Other items can be included, depending on the box and theme for the month.
Let me start by saying that the products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Ozeri and Moderna Housewares. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
Ozeri – Elite Chef Ceramic 3 piece Knife Set and Adjustable Ceramic Knife Stand Review
I had always heard while growing up that life is funny and there will be unexplained coincidences. Let me share a story that I think illustrates this fact – It all started about 3 months ago. As I am gathering cooking knowledge, one of the things that is vital is being able to make consistent cuts to the food you are cooking. Now it is important to note that we watch a lot of Food Network and the competition shows they air. We always watch a chef’s cutting ability because that usually tells us what kind of chef they are. If someone were watching me they would wonder if I could even boil water.
When we were out one Saturday we picked up a set of white ceramic knives. At the time I wondered about their quality but was assured that ceramic rarely breaks or chips. One night while I was doing my prep work, I saw why my knives were cutting less than ideally – they had various chips of various sizes. I mentioned this to Jason and he said we would go and replace them the upcoming weekend. Now, this is where the coincidences of life take over – I got the opportunity to review a set of ceramic knives.
The Great Plate Holiday 2015 Giveaway!!!
Back in April I had the opportunity to review Great Plate and see just how durable and how versatile they were (previous review here). I mentioned that to be able to have my food and drink near me on the couch and not spill due to cats jumping down was a bonus and a great feature of the Great Plate. It is 7 months later and the plates look brand new, despite being used every week or two. The color is just as vibrant and the plate is just as level as it was then – it is our “go-to” plate for chips and guacamole
