Eco Lips: Lip Balm and Lip Sugar Scrub Review + Giveaway!!!!

ecolips-3-productsThere is no denying that the weather has begun to change. With the changing weather also comes changing lip conditions.

As a blogger I get the opportunity to review many different items, and while I have a couple of favorites I love discovering something new. Back in March I attended the Natural Products Expo I came upon a company that not only has delicious lip balms but also has ecological packaging.

The company is Eco Lips and they are making their way in the lip balm marker with their handcrafted products. The company is headquartered in Cedar Rapids Iowa and is each product is made with organic ingredients. Recently I had the opportunity review their lips balms and a lip sugar

Rosebud Lip BalmAs summer winds down and we see those dog days of winter ahead of us our lip care routine can change. The sun burned and sun cracked lips make way for wind cracked and blisters.

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – October Review and Giveaway

Peaches and Petals October box contentsOne bonus to monthly boxes is that you really never know what you are going to get until you open the box. I like the element of surprise and I love that it is always a new adventure into trying new items. The best boxes are ones that keep the surprise each month and keep you guessing with little guidance.

One of the newer player’s in the subscription box arena is Peaches and Petals. This is a subscription box that caters to ‘fun. flirty, fashionable vintage and modern lifestyles’. What does that mean to you the subscriber? It means that each month you will receive 3-5 items hand selected by the Peaches and Petals team and can range in items from creams, nail polish, makeup, scarves and bags  or/and a vintage piece of jewelry. There could be other items included, depending on the box and theme for the month.

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – September Review and Giveaway

Peaches and Petals All ContentsI will admit that I love subscription boxes. There is something special about getting a package each month with your name on it. The boxes contents are unknown until the box is unfurled and each content reveals itself.

I am excited to tell you that there is a new player in the subscription box arena – Peaches and Petals. Smith’s Lip Balm by Rosebud Perfume Company Review

Smith’s Lip Balm Review

Smith's Lip BalmIt has been mentioned in previous posts that I am not a girly girl, and the problems that can sometimes arise from this life curve I was dealt at an early age. Despite this seemingly easy hurdle to overcome I have been struggling with it my whole life with being a girly girl. Despite this I am beginning to overcome. I have discovered the older I get the more I like to have a variety of beauty products to solve the inevitable ailments and beauty issues I encounter daily. The one problem that seems to stay with me is chapped lips and this could be due to being so close to the Pacific Ocean.

I recently discovered Rosebud Perfume’s line of Lip Balms and I reached out to inquire about the ingredients and they were kind enough to send me a couple to review. I was sent Smith’s Rose and Mandarin Lip Balm and Smith’s Minted Rose Lip Balm. The thing that piqued my interest is that the company has been around since 1892 and is family owned with a simple mission of offering multi-usage products that are affordable and effective.

Udderly Naked Goat Milk Soap Review and Giveaway

Let me start by saying that the products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Udderly Naked Goat Milk Soap. This in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

Udderly Naked Goat Milk Soap Review and Giveaway!

20150416_155729I was raised by a single father and as seemingly awesome as that sounds to some, there are some drawbacks to this arrangement. The one drawback that affects me to this day is that I am not much of a girlie girl. I learned that 10 minute waits were much preferred over the hour-long waits to get ready. Along with lessons came the absence of spa days, manicures and frilly dress shopping. Sometimes I think that they missed giving me the girly girl gene  when they were passing out traits. Despite this missing link of mine I still love some things girly and lucky for me I have discovered one such item: Udderly Naked Goat Milk Soap.

There is something about having an artisan bar using ingredients that are not usually found in soap but have healthful benefits. I have found that many soaps are excessively drying and some actually create more dermatological issues then they solve. I have read more and more recently about soap made from goat’s milk, so when the chance became available to review Udderly Naked Goat Milk Soap I was excited.

Goat’s milk soap has so many benefits and when you combine that with essential oils and vitamins you have a 100% natural soap that is healthful. Goat Milk Soap is touted to relieve and even heal eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. The reason for this is due to the alpha hydroxy acids in the goat milk combined with the oils moisture. For my review I had the opportunity to review 3 soaps including Sunshine Soap, Nut and Honey Soap, Barista Bar, Cocoamint Lip Balm, Orangesicle Lip Balm and Lavender Hard Lotion.
