When I received the Master Collection of coloring books by Blue Star Premier, I thought that these would make the perfect additions to the baskets we give this time of year!
There is no secret, I love cats. I love that each feline you meet has a different personality and a different temperament.
The best example of this is the differences between Maggee and Murfee. When new people enter the house, Maggee wants to meet the human entering her environment. Murfee on the other hand generally holds back, makes sure the person is approved by us and then proceeds to say hello. What makes me curious is that these are two animals that have grown up in the same environment and have been exposed to the same experiences.
Much like humans these balls of fur are shaped by the decisions, experiences and knowledge they have. When I received the Stress Relieving Cats Adult Coloring Book’s Celebration Edition by Blue Star Premier I knew that this would be the perfect coloring book to show all of my cats personality traits! There are few things as majestic as the animals at the zoo as the lions, tigers and bears (oh my!).
Since I live in the same town as two notable zoo and animal parks I grew up seeing these majestic creatures not only on my television but as as gust. I have always loved zoo’s and love the care that it is taken into taking care of these animals.

Holiday Parade: A Christmas Adult Coloring Book Review and Giveaway
When I think of parades, there are two holidays that come to mind. The first is July 4th and the independence and the second is the Christmas.
Each year there is an annual parade in the county I live in and even the water there are holiday parades. There is something magical about seeing the snowmen, the Santa’s and the reindeer. My favorite is the colors and the lights, and the decorations. The moving images bring the holiday season to life in a very positive and happy way.

New Belgium Brewing: Adult Coloring Book Review and Giveaway
As I drive around town I have noticed a new trend – craft breweries. I live in San Diego County and as luck would have it, the county is home to more than 100 breweries, microbreweries, and brewpubs which makes for many options for cuisine and beer.
The one brewery that is not near us is New Belgium, a craft brewery that is located in Ft. Collins Colorado. This craft brewery began on a bike ride through Belgium brewery to brewery. Through hard work and wide distribution New Belgium has become the 3rd largest craft brewery, and the 8th overall brewery in the United States.
Since my husband is a fan of craft breweries I knew when I saw the New Belgium Brewing: Adult Coloring Book this would be a book that we both would enjoy. Continue reading
Take A Hike: An Outdoor Coloring Adventure Review and Giveaway
Of all the things that I like doing there is one thing that I am not particularly fond of – Camping. There is a reason I feel this way – I had a bad camping experience, although I did not know it at the time. The person who took me camping believed in MRE’s (Meals Ready to Eat – commonly consumed in the field in the military) as meals, rock climbing without teaching and sleeping on the rocks.
Now when I met my current husband, I relayed this camping adventure to him, and he with a horrified look told me that camping was not like that at all. As I sat there he told me of disappearing for the day fishing, his mom’s homemade food in the middle of Mammoth, and hiking with his sisters. I took his word as true, after all he had gone camping with his family 3 weeks every year since he was a kid!
When I received a copy of Take A Hike: An Outdoor Coloring Adventure by Blue Star Coloring and Jared Wright he was immediately taken back to those long days of fishing, camping and fireside chats. Continue reading
A Whipped & Fashion Forward Adult Coloring Book Giveaway!
As the summer nights wind down it makes way for cooler nights, and hours of homework. What is there for the adults who are helping those kids with their homework – adult coloring!
One of my favorite things about coloring is the creativity involved and the colors. Color is one of the most important things that can be in our lives. Our love of color can be expressed in the clothing we wear and even in the shoes on our feet. There is even an expression of color in baked goods!
Since even adults need fun too, I am excited to offer a copy of Fashion Forward: A Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book by Minjee Kang and Whipped: A Delectable Adult Coloring Book by Rudy Fig.
Many people do not know but when Jason was a teenager he was an avid Dungeons and Dragons player. Often times he would run his own campaigns and act as Dungeon Master.
Since we were best friends, I would go over on these nights and color while I listened to the tale that was unfolding next to me. I would imagine these worlds that Jason was describing and the colors came to life. In stark contrast I would be coloring cartoon characters and rainbows while listening to more of a medieval tale.
I would have loved to have a coloring book that reflected the story I was listening to. When I received a copy of Quest: Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book from the Blue Star Master Collection by Samantha Johnson, my first thoughts was all those nights I spent listening and this book was the imagery behind the tale. Cat Coloring Books: Yoga Kitties and Stress Relieving Cats Adult Coloring Book’s Giveaway
If I could I would have more than the two cats I currently have. The true reason that I do not have this hoard of cats is not because of my husband or even the current size of my home. The true reason that I do not have a hoard of cats is because I am afraid that with each additional cat the time I spend and the attention they get would begin to diminish. Jason and I have discussed a third cat, a friend for Maggee to play with but in the end, I think that despite my wish for more I must stay with the two I have.
Since I have the self imposed cat limit I must get my cat love out another way. The way I chose to do this is by collection cat themed items and coloring in cat themed cat coloring books.
