Socks for Pops – Father’s Day Sock Club Subscription Giveaway

Socks for Pops – 3 Month Subscription – Sock Club Father’s Day Giveaway – 2017

sock-club-collageWhen I was young one of my favorite things to do was steal my father’s socks. Generally speaking they were larger and much softer then my socks, and inevitably lost in the abyss that was my own sock collection.

Now that I am older I feel the need to attempt to replace all those socks that I stole all those years before. I have found the easiest way to replenish this collection is with a monthly sock subscription.

It also happens that socks make the perfect gift for every father therefore I am thrilled to have the opportunity to give one reader a 3 month subscription to SockClub.

Sock Club: Socks for Spring – 2017 Giveaway

Socks for Spring – 3 Month Subscription – Sock Club Giveaway – 2017

sock-club-collageTraditionally spring is know as a time to clean and organize. Each year I take this opportunity to clean and prepare. I my systems of organization. One task that I take on each year is my closet, and the items contained therein. Most of the items that hang are easy, since I turn hangers the opposite direction and if at the time of cleaning, I have not worn then I know with just a glance.

The most difficult is my sock collection, since I tend to stop matching pairs sometime mid September. The process is easy for the most part and involves me putting the sock on the bed, and searching for it’s mate. The best part about this is that I generally am able to combine pairs and find socks that I have not worn in a while.

Since we all like an easier way to get matched socks minus the cleaning, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to give one reader a 3 month subscription to SockClub

StyleWe.com Review

Stylewe.com Fashion Review + Site Credit Giveaway

Admittedly I am not that hip on fashion as I would like to be, I value comfort over style on most days. Since I spent 90% of my time on my couch with a laptop the need for anything more than comfortable pants and a comfortable shirt is rarely needed.

Notice I used the word rarely, not never. There are some times when I need something more formal that outfits made of flannel and in those occasions I like to look nice while retaining the comfort that I am so used to. One of my top prioritize when looking for clothes is that I remain budget conscious – keep the cost vs. wear in perspective. The goal is to look nice while still feeling like I got a good deal.

When I was approached by online company Stylewe my first priority was to make sure that the items were budget conscious while remaining good-looking.

Feet Need Love Too – Valentine’s Day 2017 – Sock Club Giveaway

sock-club-collageAs we approach Valentine’s Day, it becomes a day of panic for many people. Gifts can be hard to purchase if you are in a new relationship or a seasoned 20 year relationship. I am a strong believer that these sometimes the simplest gift can be the most meaningful. Since I spend so much time in the house, it is a rare day that I wear shows. On the rare occasion I venture beyond my home, I make sure my socks are decorative.

I have mentioned that each time we are out and I see a new sock, I want to buy the socks despite my collection being larger than I can properly store. As I have mentioned in the past  one of my favorite pairs that I have is a red and grey wool sock that I received last year.

Since I am a big believer that feet need love too during this universal day of love, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to give one reader a 3 month subscription to SockClub

Start the New Year on the Right Foot – Sock Club Giveaway

December 2015Since I spend so much time on the couch and at my desk I rarely wear shoes around the house. The one item I do wear every day is socks!

Each time we are out and I see a new sock, my instinct is to pull the trigger and buy the socks despite my collection being larger than most small countries. My favorites are socks that are not only comfortable, but also incorporate color and a pattern in a creative eye-catching way.

One of my favorite pairs that I have is a red and grey wool sock that I received from SockClub last year at this time. It is for that reason that I am excited about the Start The New Year on the Right Foot Giveaway.

RefrigiWear: Fleece Jacket Review

RefrigiWear: Fleece Jacket Review + Giveaway

refrigiwear-logoI will be the first to admit that as a San Diegan, I see very little weather changes. Generally speaking the weather is 70’s and sunny – at least that is what people will make you believe.

While our temperatures are ideal, I must run cold because despite our ideal temperatures I am always cold. I can be outside or in my house and I am always cold. Since I spend so much of my time cold, I am on a constant search to find a jacket or sweater that will keep me cool.

When I recently was approached by a company called RefrigiWear I was interested by the claim they are the leader in cold weather gear. I decided to give their Women’s Fleece Jacket a turn

Luxor Linens: Egyptian Cotton Waffle Robe Review

Luxor Linens: Egyptian Cotton Waffle Robe Review + Giveaway

waffle-hers-robeAs we march into the holidays our thoughts are starting to turn to lists and options for gift giving.

I am not sure about you but I have always had such a hard time coming up with nice gifts that will be the perfect mix of useful and thoughtful. There really is nothing worse than being excited about giving somebody a gift that you are excited about, only to see the person crestfallen when they open the gift.

One way I have found that can reverse this disappointment is to purchase a gender neutral but useful gift. If you are looking for such a gift, look no further than Luxor Linens and their complete lines of sheets and robes.

Five Finger Tees T-Shirt Review

FiveFingerTees Review + Giveaway

nuka-cola-and-lukes-dinerSince I spend many hours on my computer I have discovered that this constant state of sitting necessitates the need for comfortable clothes. My favorite outfit is a pair of yoga pants, a tank top and a t-shirt and always with a comfy pair of socks. The major reason for this level of comfort you want to be  as comfortable as possible when you are sitting as much as I do each day. Due to this constant state of being I am always on the lookout for additions to my “work uniform”.

Last September I happened upon FiveFingerTees.com for the first time and at the time I was blown away!

Zazzle.com: Summer Sunshine 2016 Giveaway

Zazzle.com – Summer Sunshine 2016 Review and Giveaway

PIllow and LIttle Miss Sunshine TshirtSunshine permeates everything I do and who I am to a degree. When I was young my father would make dinner reservations under the nickname “sunshine” and many times my default nickname for people is “sunshine”. There is something special and magical about the sunshine – it brings a warmth, light and overall positive feelings.

Since I am based on the Pacific Ocean, the sunshine is as abundant as water. Even on days when the sun does not shine, there is still a glimmer of sunlight that shines through. My house is situated that it benefits many days from natural light, which is wonderful for the humans and felines in the house. There is a brightness that shines living in the land of never ending sunshine!

On days that the sunshine is hiding, I love to be reminded of otherwise sunny days. I came upon Zazzle.com and immediately knew that they would have what I desired for those otherwise sunless days.

Cat Lady Box Monthly Subscription Review: May 2016

Cat Lady Box Monthly Subscription Review and Giveaway – May/Cat Mom’s Day 2016

May 2016 Box ContentsWhile I have not had the best history with mothers in my life, I can see the love and see how a mothers love is irreplaceable. Due to my shaky history with my own mother I think at times i might over compensate with Maggee and Murfee.

Let me explain a little further to bring some clarity. I was raised from a young age by my father and while I learned many valuable lessons, I did miss my mother. It was made clear early on that my mother wanted nothing to do with me, and while this was hurtful, it ended up being for the best. I did not have an example of a mother, so I base my experience on snippets of mom’s i have seen my life.

At times I think this has worked well, and it really is a broad example base. Recently Jason has made comments and dropped words such as “helicopter” and “smother and mother”. I think during this time of year, as much as I love the moms in my life, I overcompensate with my two cats. Lucky for me they seem to love the love!

It was announced that this months Cat Lady Box would have a “Mothers” theme, and they delivered. To say that each box is “pawsome” is an understatement. Each month is better than the last, (see previous reviews here). The box exterior is printed with the logo in black and is almost a proud announcement of your Cat Lady status. Once the box is open, you are greeted with a black tissue with a sticker enclosing everything in the box. The box is packaged well, and there is space enough that items do not get smooshed and smashed together.
