Stampin’ Up – Pretty Kitty Stamp Set Review + Giveaway
Sometimes as cat guardians we are put into funny and odd positions. As the humans we are the source of love and attention, but we are also responsible to clean their litter boxes and clean up hairballs when they invariable come up.
It is difficult for non-cat owners to understand why after the bad we would continue to love these furry mess makers. One of the best ways that I express my cat lady love to my friends is through the sending of cards. The stamps that I like the best are the ones that integrate my love of cats.
Since I am always on the search for cute, high quality and useful cat themed items, when I saw the Pretty Kitty Clear-Mount Stamp SetI knew that it was the stamp set I had been wanting.
Summer is a constant “on the go” time, if it is not the beach it is amusement parks, family gatherings and even overnight excursions. Many times with all this travel the cats are left and home, and while out of sight, they are not out of mind.
I am a cat lady and proud of it and even when we travel our cats are never far from our thoughts. I love to have cat items sprinkled throughout my daily life. I have a cat wallet that sits beside a cat umbrella in a cat bag. My girl Maggee is also my background on my phone as well as hundreds of photos on my phone.
Since I love getting cat related items as much as my cats enjoy getting toys, I was excited to be given the opportunity to review The Cat Kit, The Cat Kit is a filled with 7 adorable items for cat and human and really is “purrfect” for any cat lover.

Ulysses Press: Apuglogies, Emoticat Stickers, Cover Art and Don’t Quit Your Day Dream Review and Giveaway
I have mentioned in the past that when I was young there was a gift store that i frequented for presents. This store had everything from gag gifts, balloons, cards and gift books. I also worked for a card shop that sold gift books so I love theme books that celebrate a persons favorite things.
I recently heard about the release of 4 new gift books from Ulysses Press that celebrate a persons favorite things that range from Pugs saying “I’m sorry”, cats that are expressive and communicate how you are feelings, hangable classic book covers and a unique twist on the adult coloring trend.

It’s THE Scoop By K-Kat Innovations Review and Giveaway
I love my Muggles, but that is not a surprise for regular readers. These two little furry creatures are Jason and I’s buddies and companions. Jason and I have unspoken but well established responsibilities where Maggee and Murfee are concerned. I like to say that we 50/50 but let’s be honest, the one who cleans the litter box should get a little more of that percentage. In our house that responsibility falls to me, although Jason is completely willing to step in if I am feeling less than motivated to do it.
We are lucky in one respect of the litter box situation, our two cats like to share a litter box. When we adopted Maggee we had a second litter box set up for her, and we had Murfee’s original litter box. We thought for sure that Maggee would love having her own box, she was already showing signs of being a thoughtful and clean cat. We kept the second litter box for almost a month and after nothing more than playing in the pristine clean litter that second litter box did not see much action.
Since the Muggles share a litter box I am constantly cleaning and making sure it is ready for them to use. I recently had the opportunity to try a relatively new product – it’s THE Scoop. Let me first say that this is one of the best scoops I have ever used. I dislike cleaning the litter box but acutely realize that it must be done for our health and of course their health.

Kitty Kush Catnip Review and Giveaway
There is little to no doubt that our Murfee likes catnip and I will admit that we indulge him. I have attempted to grow my own for him, but each time something unexpected happens to the crop. The first time we had a heat wave with wind and before I knew it the plastic pot disappeared. The second time we almost had a full crop and then magically it was gone. I am not sure if a neighborhood cat stole it, ate it or the magical catnip trolls took it. This last time life got in the way and I just plain forgot to give it the needed water and love it needed.
We had read that catnip does not affect cats under 9 months old, or until they reach sexual maturity, so we waited until he was about a year old. Ever since the introduction was made, Murfee and catnip are two peas in a pod. I recently came across a new product called “Kitty Kush Catnip” that resembles a salt grinder but grinds cat nip instead!
The basic idea behind this product is that it comes prepacked with cat nip pellets that are infused with essential oils and compacted together. When you want to give your kitty some catnip all you do is turn the built in grinder much like you would turn a salt grinder. A little goes a long way due to the concentrated nature of this product – I literally did less then one full turn for Murfee and that was enough.
The one benefit of being a review blogger is that we have a nice flow of boxes arriving which makes for a lot of cardboard. I hate the idea of just throwing the cardboard away and I have long talked about making a scratch pad for Maggee and Murfee. I see these grand cat scratch posts that people make and while I dream of creating one, realistically I know that it is best to start easy and build up.
These two animals love their scratch pad and I can honestly say they rarely use our couch or items they should not use. To thank them for their pad loyalty, I figured it was time to make them their own scratch pad.
I gathered my materials:
A box with sturdy sides – I used a box from a recent Costco trip that worked great!
A ton of cardboard to slice and dice
A ruler, hot glue gun, extra glue sticks, a pencil and a sharp utility knife.
Space to stack and space to spread your arms
About 3-4 hours of time including prep to completion
Once I gathered all my materials I sat down, I came up with my plan which basically consisted of measuring the inside of the box. I measured the length and height of the inside of the box and then took those measurements and put them on a piece of cardboard to be used as my template.
