Rigoni Di Asiago: Nocciolata Organic Hazelnut Spread Review

Sit & Have Some Rigoni Di Asiago: Nocciolata Organic Hazelnut Spread With Me!

A Review + Giveaway

Each morning when I wake up and begin my process of starting my day one of the first things I look for is a tasty morning treat. One of my favorites since I was young has been English Muffins, that morning muffin that is not a muffin at all.

With each little nook and empty spot there is an opportunity to fill it in with a flavorful butter or spread. For the past couple years my “go-to” spread has been a salted butter, and a peach preserve. I have wanted to expand my AM pallet a bit, but have been unable to think of a flavorful spread other than the typical offerings.

When I recently received an email that Rigoni Di Asiago had won numerous awards at a recent trade show, I was curious  the was becoming widely available I knew I wanted to give it a try.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Rigoni Di Asiago. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

I received a jar of Rigoni Di Asiago Nocciolata Organic Hazelnut Spread for tasting and to share my thoughts.

This is a Dairy Free Hazelnut Cocoa Spread that is made organically farmed hazelnut paste, which comprises only 16% of the total ingredients. This Hazelnut Cocoa Spread is sweetened with organic cane sugar. The other ingredients include sunflower oil, skim milk powder, and cocoa butter.

The Hazelnut Cocoa Spread is made with organic ingredients  and is completely free of GMO’s, preservatives, colors, additives, or artificial sweeteners.

The Rigoni Di Asiago Nocciolata Organic Hazelnut Spread combines hazelnuts, cocoa – that is free trade, cocoa butter, natural vanilla extract, skim milk powder and raw cane sugar. When combined this creates a spread that immediately tastes of a chocolate-hazelnut spread. The Nocciolata Dairy Free Hazelnut Cocoa Spread is certified vegan, certified kosher, gluten-free, organic, and cold-pressed sunflower oil and is also free from hydrogenated fats.

I will be honest and say that I did not know what to expect when I opened and tried this. The spread is not so thick that it is unspreadable, but not so thin that it will slide off your food surface. I can also tell you that if I was blindfolded and tried a traditional chocolate and this, I would not be able to tell the difference.

Also included with the jar was a full color recipe book that was full of ideas on how to use this spread. The great thing is this can be used on toast, muffins, pancakes, french toast, and just about anything that you would put jam on.

This has immediately been added to my breakfast arsenal. If you want a sweet way to start your day then pick up a jar of Rigoni Di Asiago Nocciolata Organic Hazelnut Spread today!

Well now, I do like all the favorites everyone else has mentioned but I also like; a spread pf peanut butter, toasted warm marshmallows and toasted coconut flakes. The combo of 3 these 3 things on a piece of toast is magical. Give it a try.

Cherry Jam is my favorite toast spread, but I also enjoy peanut butter, apple butter, strawberry jam, honey, and cinnamon sugar.

I like either butter and cherry preserves on toast or chocolate hazelnut spread on toast.

My favorite spread is Welsh Rarebit on sourdough toast. Rarebit is a spread made by melting cheddar cheese in a bath of leftover beer from the night before.

    Hope to win!

My favorite spread for toast is good old butter, but I’d eat pretty much anything on it!
