Namaste Foods: Brownie, Bread Crumbs and Egg Replacer Review

Namaste Foods: Dark Chocolate Brownies, Italian Herb Bread Crumbs and Egg Replacer Review and Giveaway

In the infancy of my review blogging I had the opportunity to try many good companies.

When I attended the Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo in San Diego I had the opportunity to meet the people behind the company that I had the chance to review in those early days.

One of my favorite things is to see companies expand their product lines and offer a wide selection of products in their respective categories.

Namaste Foods has a line of foods that are free from the top 8 allergens typically found in other foods and contain no wheat, no gluten, no corn, no soy, no potatoes, no dairy, no casein, no peanuts or tree nuts.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Namaste Foods LLC.. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

I received a selection of items from Namaste Foods including the Dark Chocolate Brownie Mix, Italian Herb Bread Crumbs and the Egg Replacer. I was eager to receive this box, since I had tried a couple items before and one I had not.

The first item that I had tried was the brownie mix, although last time I had the Brownie Mix, and this time I had the Dark Chocolate Brownie Mix, I am a huge fan of anything Dark Chocolate and these were no exception. I will tell you that this is a thick mix, but as I have learned, the thicker the mix the better the brownie.

The second item I had tried before, was the Italian Herb Bread Crumbs. There are very few proteins that I will not coat in bread crumbs so these were use almost as quickly as they arrived. I made sure to coat my chicken completely and cooked the pieces on a rack to prevent sludgy bottom. The end result was a crispy chicken that had a nice Italian flavor without being overpowering. The seasoning contains granulated garlic and onion, parsley, rosemary, sage, thyme, basil, oregano and marjoram

The final item was the Egg Replacer, which I had never tried before but thought it might be a nice alternative in baking. The conversion is easy at 2 teaspoons of Egg Replacer with 2 tablespoons water equal one egg. I used this in a regular cake mix, and did not notice any difference then if I had used eggs I had to crack. This is an excellent alternative to keep around the house for baking.

I think that it is wonderful that gluten free items are now not tasting different than their gluten filled items and I am happy to see Namaste on the forefront of that food revolution.

I am thrilled to see Namaste Foods increase and expand their offerings. If you are wanting a product that is free of the top 8 allergens this is the brand for you!

I am looking forward to watching my littlest turn one year this year. The first two years go by so fast and I love watching them change, even though I wish it were slower.
