Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome – December 2016 Review

Now that the holidays are wrapping up and a new year dawns, I am reflective of the year past. At the end of the year I try to summarize my accomplishments, note my failures and set new goals for the year ahead.

One of my goals in the coming year is to pay it forward. I find that simple actions of kindness are becoming less common. As time goes on and if we do not keep this movement going, then generations below us will lose that common kindness. So this coming year, I am going to share my good fortune and when I receive items in boxes I am not going to use and pay it forward.

Each month when I receive the Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome by That Daily Deal.com I think of those moments of kindness that can be paid forward. Each month no theme is chosen, but rather a selection of random gender neutral items that will undoubtedly meet a need of yours or a lucky recipient.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of That Daily Deal/Jammin Butter. This post may contain affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review and all opinions are my own.

Here is a breakdown of the items that included in the December Box of Awesome:

Whole Bean Grinder: There are times that I receive whole beans in a subscription box for review. When this would happen I would take the beans over to a neighbor’s house and have them grind the beans. I love that I now have a way to grind them without leaving my house!

Adriondack Socks: As regular readers can attest, I love socks! I have never had a pair like this before and since I have a size 9.5 show, I am happy these are a little larger. The bonus is that due to their big size, even Jason can wear them – let the battle begin!

14 Piece Portion Set: This is a simple plastic storage set that would be PERFECT for lunches. I love that these are labeled and you can visually see how much each portion is.

Pez Head Bears: I love to freeze things like this and then chow on them, and these were no different. Also, since they are gelatin free, and gluten-free they are safe for a wide range of people.

Battery Operated Scarf: If I am being honest, I spend half my life being cold in my own house. Jason runs hot and so since I run cold this causes a conflict in the house where temperature is concerned. This scarf is a welcome addition to my arsenal of items that keep me warm and I love that it also has pouches for storage of money/wallets or hands.

Energizer C-Max Batteries 4-pack: Ever since we bought our house we always find ourselves needing batteries so I am happy to have a little help with collecting my stock of batteries.

Each month random box receivers will received a high ticket item included in their box. The examples of past items received are an inflatable hot tub, 70″ curved television, a years worth of bacon, a 3D printer, and even drones!

This is by far the most random, and most unique box I have received and I look forward to it each month!

When they named this a Mystery Box of Awesome they are not exaggerating – it is awesome!
