My favorite costume was my witch’s costume. My Mom made it for me when I was 4 or 5 and it was the best!

My most memorable Halloween costume was the year I dressed up like a bunch of grapes with a clear plastic bag filled with purple balloons. It rained that night and while I stayed pretty dry, my balloons all popped!

My favorite costume growing up was a robot costume I made one year out of cardboard boxes and plastic tubes. It had battery-powered lights on the front, and a slot that opened to insert the candy. The eyes were made from cardboard tubes, so it was a bit difficult to see where I was going, but everyone was quite impressed with my creativity. Thank you for the chance to win.

I loved dressing up in a 50’s costume that I would throw together – rolled up jeans, penny loafers, a top, scarf tied at my throat, and a pony tail.

I’ll be honest my Mother is,from Germany and she really had no clue about Halloween so I relied usually on my relatives. The one year she helped me was my favorite. I was about 12 and if course I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup but, when I said I wanted to be a princess she really went all out. She had me the prettiest dress and not a store bought costume one. She put make up on me. I remember looking in the mirror and at the age of 53 I still remember thinking wow that person in the mirror is beautiful. I never saw myself as pretty so that alone is one of my favorite memories . Thank you for taking me back in time 🙂

We didn’t have much money so we never bought costumes. My favorite was being a hobo. I’d put on a big flannel shirt with overalls and have a stick with a bag on the end of it filled with some sort of material to make it look full.
