Eco Lips: Lip Balm and Lip Sugar Scrub Review

Eco Lips: Lip Balm and Lip Sugar Scrub Review + Giveaway!!!!

ecolips-3-productsThere is no denying that the weather has begun to change. With the changing weather also comes changing lip conditions.

As a blogger I get the opportunity to review many different items, and while I have a couple of favorites I love discovering something new. Back in March I attended the Natural Products Expo I came upon a company that not only has delicious lip balms but also has ecological packaging.

The company is Eco Lips and they are making their way in the lip balm marker with their handcrafted products. The company is headquartered in Cedar Rapids Iowa and is each product is made with organic ingredients. Recently I had the opportunity review their lips balms and a lip sugar

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Eco Lips. This post may contain affiliate links, but this in no way influences the review to follow.

Eco Lips generously sent me the following for review:

mongo-kiss-lip-balmsThe first item I tried was the Mongo Kiss Banana Lip Balm and Mongo Kiss Vanilla Honey Lip Balm. I was eager to sample this banana since I am a HUGE banana fan and I can tell you that this did not disappoint, the banana flavor was good enough to eat. The Mongo Kiss Lip Balms contain certified organic ingredients and Fair Trade Certified Cocoa Butter infused with Mongongo Oil, a nutrient rich oil from Zambia, Africa. The Mongongo Oil is rich in Vitamin E and a natural humectant that helps create a barrier that can prevent and repair skin damage.

repair-lip-balmThe One World Repair Nourishing Lip Balm is not only nourishing but also comes in eco-friendly packaging. I got the Mango Ginger which was had a nice mango scent and a ginger taste. The best thing about this lip balm is that it comes in a 100% recyclable biodegradable container. The lip balm is dispensed by pushing up the bottom of the tube. Since this is a push up system, if you keep balm in your pocket or purse take care with this tube – it is not difficult to accidentally push the balm up.

ecolips-lip-sugarThe final item I reviewed was the Lip Scrub Vanilla Sugar jar. I can not express to you in words how good this was. Not only did it exfoliate my lips but the taste was a vanilla sugar lovers dream on earth. This scrub contains 60% Fair Trade Ingredients and is 100% edible that is made here in the USA.

Also offered by Eco Lips is the ability to private label their balms for promotional purposes orΒ  company giveaways so a nice added feature to an already innovative company. As an added bonus the energy used in creating the packaging and balm is offset with 100% renewable energy. Eco Lips is not tested on animals so you know it is safe!

I love when the goodness of the world and the intentions of companies can align and with Eco Lip you are seeing the result of that partnership. If you want a lip balm that is also making a difference then give Eco Lips a glance.

I don’t really have a favorite flavor for lip balm. I’ll pretty much try anything. I’m not crazy over honey lip balms, as they get a funny smell after a while. Anything else, I’ll happily try, though. Thanks for this awesome review and giveaway. The lip sugar scrub sounds amazing!

I’d say raspberry but someone else commented brown sugar and that sounds great!
Of course if there were a coffee one….:)

I don’t really have a favorite lip balm flavor. I like ones that are naturally scented/flavored though and don’t have chemical scents and flavors.

I honestly don’t have a favorite lip balm flavor. I usually get the unflavored. I did have a lip balm from Epic that was banana and I liked it a lot.

I have to say I am a vanilla girl. Maybe, the flavor tastes like food! Maybe, that is why I am addicted to everything vanilla!

I don’t like strong flavors in my lip balms. If they’re too good I just lick it off.
    Thanks for the contest.

I love honey flavored lip balms but any fruit flavor I also awesome and takes me back to child hood and cherry lip balm mom smeared all over my lips before sending us out all bundled for winter in the cold to play or go to school.
