Cave Tools: Digital Cooking Thermometer Review
As I have mentioned in the past, I am embarking on the adventure and challenge of home cooking.
The biggest problem that I have encountered since I began cooking is the application of heat and heat distribution. It was discovered that since I did not have a way of measuring internal temperature on roasts and meats, I was loosing a lot of juice and internal moisture, which altered the taste on the meats I was making.
A couple of months ago I had the change to review a meat tenderizer, so when I was re-approached by Cave Tools with an opportunity to review another item a Digital Cooking Thermometer seemed the logical choice.

The Digital Cooking Thermometer is an accurate and easy to use thermometer to use on anything from meat, chicken and all things in between.
This is a completely digital stainless-steel LCD display that is easy to read. I loved that it comes with a sheath that acts as a storage case with a pocket clip, which makes storage easy. The thermometer has a range of -40 degrees to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 to 232 Celsius). The temperature reading comes within 1-2 seconds (just about instantly) and is accurate with mere degrees.
Since I have a habit of not turning kitchen gadgets off I was pleased that this had an automatic shut-off after 10 minutes of no use.
The slow cooker is used quite often in my house to cook roasts and chicken and being able to stick this in once and not lose any moisture or juice. I never thought that the use of a thermometer could be so useful and such a invaluable tool.
If you do not have a digital thermometer – I recommend you getting a Cave Tools Digital Thermomenter!
