One Valentine’s Day that stands out in my memory is when my husband and I took our teen-aged daughter out to dinner with us. Michigan is COLD in the winter and everyone wanted to try the new restaurant in our area. We waited in line outdoors for at least a half hour. We used to go to Black Angus for dinner but it get’s so busy we decided to make our own Black Angus steak dinner at home. Years ago my friends and I pitched in to surprise our wives on Vday. It was a total secret, we just told the ladies to dress up and be ready at a certain time to leave. We reserved a dining room at a nice Inn and rented a limo to pick the ladies up, with champagne in the limo for them. As the ladies arrived all together in the limo, the guys were lined up outside in our suits and ties (in the cold) holding a rose for each of our lovely wives. It was a special night and a great memory!

My most memorable Valentines has to be the first I spent with my girlfriend. She chose to move to Texas to attend the university there and on Valentines I decided to surprise her with a visit. When she heard a knock on the door she expected the mailman, but was instead greeted with a big stuffy, flowers, chocolate and yours truly ^^ That moment of sheer happiness and the smile on her face just makes me tear up every time. Jazmin I know you wont ever see this but I love you!! Thank you for every moment we’ve spent together.
